My son was home for the weekend, bananas in tow… “mom, I didn’t want to leave them at my place, they’ll get too ripe, maybe you can use?” What’s a mom to do? Make banana bread, of course! This is a tried and true recipe passed on to me, definitely a family favourite…

Banana Bread Recipe

1 Egg

1/4 Cup Butter

1 Cup sugar

3 Ripe Bananas

1 – 1/2 Cups Flour

1 Tsp Baking Soda

1/2 Tsp Salt

Cream butter; add sugar, then a well-beaten egg. Mash bananas and add to mixture. Add dry ingredients.  Butter the bottom of a loaf pan and line with parchment paper. Bake at 350 degrees F. for approximately, 1 hour.
