Looking in the mirror, what do I see?

 a girl, a woman, a mother, a friend, a lover

surrounding myself with family, friends and a special someone

this is who I am

I am stronger than you think, stoic, trudging through the obstacles life throws my way

I feel pain, but I sometimes don’t show it and yes there are tears, I am human

this is who I am

I love to love,  love me the same, no more, no less

I will do anything for you, going the extra mile just because

this is who I am

I have my opinions, we can agree to disagree, you don’t have to be like me, just appreciate me

I have flaws, you can see them, inside and out, I am not perfect

this is who I am

My smile is real, and my glass is full

 I love to laugh, tell me something funny, anything, I will listen

 this is who I am

Don’t tell me I can’t, I will

determined and capable, strong-willed, I wear my heart on my sleeve

this is who I am

there is no malice in my bones, my blood is warm, my touch soft

I have fears and yes, I get angry too

this is who I am

despite my insecurities, I walk with confidence, showing the world I’m not afraid

I am comfortable with who I am, I’ve come a long way, having the scars to prove it

this is who I am

Don’t judge me, there’s more to me than meets the eye, trying to be the best version possible

 I make mistakes, there’s always room for improvement, putting my best foot forward

this is who I am

I think of myself as thoughtful, kind and loyal

always a true friend
