Essentially, I'm your friend down the street who started blogging, and then life threw lemons (AKA Divorce), and suddenly I found myself here, talking to you!

A few weeks ago, my girlfriend and her partner from London, England, decided to join us in Paris. So fun! With no set plan, I found myself wondering, with so many options, what should we do? Luckily, my friend is super easygoing and open to pretty much anything, which made the whole idea of planning feel less like a task and more like an adventure.

Thankfully, the unseasonably warm weather worked perfectly with our no-plans approach. If you’ve only got three days in Paris and nothing scheduled, don’t stress. Paris is filled with incredible spots to explore, and our three days turned out absolutely perfect!

Sacré-Coeur

We started at Sacré-Cœur and Montmartre, an impressive spot always busy with crowds. To make the most of it, aim to get here before lunch. The line to enter the cathedral might look long, but rest assured—it moves quickly! Plus, entry is free, and the views are spectacular!

Salvador Dali Museum

While you’re still in the area, be sure to check out the small Salvador Dalí gallery. Dalí, the famous Spanish surrealist artist, is known for his eccentric works, and I had no idea this gallery existed! It’s a quick stop, and if anything catches your eye, all the pieces are for sale—just say’n 😉

After exploring the cathedral and the gallery, it was time for lunch! To escape the crowds, head down towards the city. Restaurants right by the main attractions can be packed and pricey, but just a 10-minute walk away, you’ll find more affordable spots with no lineups.

Taking to the Streets

After lunch, with coffee and hot chocolate as our goal, we hit the streets, exploring parts of Paris we had never seen. And so many Passages we didn’t even know existed. More on these in another post! The point is, sometimes ditching the map and just wandering can be the most fun way to discover a city!

Day 2

Another gorgeous warm sunny day—can you believe it, at the end of October?! We enjoyed brunch outside at Le Brasserie de l’Isle Saint-Louis, then took a stroll on the Seine to see where we’d end up. In true flâneur fashion, we wandered, people-watching and trying to look effortlessly cool. LOL, not really…

Walking past the nearly completed Notre Dame, which is slated to open this 8th of December

We walked along the Seine for what felt like miles—literally! Every step came with stunning views of the Seine, elegant bridges, my favourite the Pont Alexandre III, (below), and the city basking itself in the sunshine. Can you ever tire of this? Paris has a way of making every corner feel magical. Our destination was the Eiffel Tower, and when we finally arrived, wow! So busy! The crowds were insane, but the energy of the place added to the excitement.

Champagne?

Yep, I’m a total sucker for Champagne, hence our recent getaway—you can read about it here. After logging all those steps, why not treat ourselves to a good bottle? Nothing fancy, just something cold, bubbly, and delicious. I think we all appreciated it.

Day 3

Our late morning kicked off with a visit to the lively Marché de Bastille—a feast for the senses and a pre-lunch favourite. Who could resist oysters?!

Then it was a quick metro to La Fontaine de Mars, yes, again! I love this place!

It was a perfect three days of catching up, laughing, and letting Paris do its thing. With just a couple of dinner reservations and no real agenda, we kept it easy, proving that sometimes the best plans are no plans. The weather held up, the city delivered, and the company made it all the better.
