Get the rosé ready because Rob (aka my guy) and I are heading to Provence for the month of June. It’s been a looong time since I’ve been to the South of France, and I can’t wait for lavender fields, bouillabaisse and warm sunshine.
After three nights in Paris to visit my son and his girlfriend, it’s a faaaast train to Avignon on the TGV, where we pick up our car rental.
From there, we drive to Noves (a stone’s throw from Avignon) for a ten-day stay at a lovely two-bedroom villa in a converted mill at Moulin de la Roque.
Heading South
And a short drive to the small town of Contignac, we’ll spend a week at Villa Beaurecueil, a centuries-old stone dwelling surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. There’s a good chance we’ll be enjoying more delicious wine too.
From there, we drive to the French Riviera and the quaint town of Juan la Pins. We’ll stay here for three nights at La Bastide du Bosquet, an eighteenth-century Bed & Breakfast. I look forward to spending time at the beach and exploring the many gorgeous towns nearby.
Our last stop as we make our way back to Paris
I’ve heard many wonderful things about Le Château des Alpilles in Saint-Remy-de-Provence. As excited as I am to stay at the chateau, I’m equally excited to visit the beautiful town of Saint Remy. We’re spending three nights here, and I can already predict I won’t want to leave. Sorry, Rob…
Have you ever been to the South of France? Do you have any fantastic restaurant recommendations or must-see places? Leave me a note.
Sounds amazing!!
